The President said that with regard to the recommendations.made by the select committes of the Board relative to the training of nullahe the committed thought that Rve items should be taken in hand at ence. That report was adopted by the Board and the Government had replied that it was proposed to dend with three items, Nos. 1, 2 and 3, namely at Pozialem near the university; the training of a atream at Shankiwan, and an extension of the nullah at May Road. The President 20sidered that was satisfactory.

QUEEN'S ROAD SHELTERS,

With reference to the shelters in Queen's Rand Central the President said that Guvenment had requested the Board to give its opinion as to whether the sbelters in Queon's Road Central opposite Mesars Caldbeck, Macgreggor and Co., which was made of corrugated iron and prevented people from getting wet should. beremoved or act. The only objection was that some people in the icinity dumped refuse on to the shelters so that they get in a very dirty stato." As a inatter of fact better be removed altogether but he did rot wish to press his views and would be glad to hear the views of members as to whether they should be retained..
