A patty officer attached to the regimeent in the Tang Sing District absented him.
WIF self without leave, and in company with a private soldier attended a theatrical per formance. On his return he wae répri manded by the officer in charge. The man then addressed the other soldiers of the regiment and axhorted them to desert. This many of them did, the commander being powerloss to prevent them. Ho however telegraphed to a military camp at Ching.
