at all. We are now well into January, and we have not yot had what might be called cold snap barring a few chilly days in December-which is not at all good, for the summer is not very for off, though we
would like to think so.
Mr Denman Fuller presented a very recital in St. John's Cathedral and it was attractive programme at his last organ greatly enjoyed. But how painfully sp parent are the defects of the organ. I believe that originally it was a splendid instrument, bus time and the climate of Hongkong have done their worst with it. An expenditure of something like a thon- aard pounds will be necessary to restore it to thorough efficiency, and I can but hope that music lovers in Hongkong who can
fund, so that the Colony may once mora afford a trifle will send along their contriba- tions quickly to the treasurer of the organ be in possession of an instrument worthy of the Cathedral and of ita talented organist.
