At Yinkow this morning there was a fall of 4 inches of snow. The ice on the Liao seeins na firm as over and the general belief is that the port will not open for another fortnight at least, or perhaps even longor.
Last night there were seven Japanese warships flashing their lights from the mouth of the river on Newchwang and Yinkow; the sight of these places illumina- ted was worth seeing.
