The Review department receives special attention, and oudenyours are made to presont a careful and concise record of Literature on China ate, and to give critiques embodying sketches of the West rocant works on such topics, Aubors and Tublishers are requested to forward works to Editor, China Review, care of China Muit Office.

The Notes and Queries are still continued and form an important means of obtaining from and diffusing among students know ledge an
