VEHICLES.

Imports totalled $14.1 millions as compared with $6.2 millions, and exports $20.0 millions as com- pared with $5.9 millions.

Imports of Bicycles and Tricycles decreased from $738,000 to $351,000.

Imports of Motor Cars increased from 690 ears ($1.8 millions) to 757 curs ($2.2 millions). Imports from the United Kingdom increased from 275 cars (8085,000) to 367 cars ($983,000). Imports from Canada decreased from 204 cars ($555,000) to 137 ears ($518,000).

Imports of Motor Lorries (Chassis) increased from 656 chassis ($1.4 millions) to 3.293 chassis ($8.0 millions). Imports from U.S.A. increased from 566 chassis to 3,023 chassis.

Imports of Motor Accessories increased from $883,000 to $2.0 millions.

WEARING APPAREL..

Imports totalled $5.1 millious as compared with $4.4 millions, and exports $20.6 millions as compared with $19.7 millions.

Exports of Boots and Shoes (Rubber and Canvas] increased from $5.5 millions to $6.7 millions, mainly to the United Kingdom and British West Indies. Imports from Japan declined from $372,000 $1,000.

Imports of Hats and Caps (Foreign) decreased from $152,000 to $326,000. There were increased imports from Italy and China, and decreased imports from Japan.

Exports of Hosiery (other than Silky decreased from $1.4 millions to $1.1 millions. markets were the United Kingdom, British West Indies, South Africa and Netherlands East Indies.

Exports of Shirts decreased from $2.4 millions to $2.2 millions.

Exports of Singlets increased from $1.2 millions to $5.0 millions.

SUNDRIES.

Imports of some 167 items of Sundries totalled $73.9 millions as compared with $77.8 millions, and exports $66.9 millions as compared with $69,7 millions.

Imports of Gunny Bags decreased from 5,916,00m bags ($1.9 millions) to 5.9 million bags ($1.7 millions).

Imports of Cosmetics and Perfumery increased from $1.0 to $1.1 millions.

Exports of Electric Torches (Flashlight decreased from $3.7 millions to $2.9 millions, the chief markets being the United Kingdom, India, Burma, British Malaya, South Africa. Netherlands East

Indies and Siam.
