Imports totalled $32.8 millions as compared with $33.2 millious, and exports $28.7 millions as com- pared with $31.1 millions.
Imports of Iron and Steel Bars increased from 348,683 piculs ($2.8 millions) to 944,408 piculs ($4.0 millions), and exports from 554,126 pieuls ($2.8 millions) to 665,435 piculs ($3.0 millions). from the United Kingdom increased from 27,240 piculs ($194,621) to 78,204 piculs ($434,504); Belgium Imports from 449,027 pieuls ($2.2 millions) to 529,084 piculs 182.1 millions); France from 10,965 piculs ($49,802) to 102,726 piculs ($428.248); and Germany from 56,406 piculs ($282,960) to 180,021 piculs ($802,806). Exports to South China increased from 415,288 piculs ($2.1 millions) to 461,477 piculs ($2.1 millions).
Imports of Wire Nails increased from 25,572 piculs ($248,335) to 28,109 pients ($174,424). Imports of Iron Wire, increased from 16.540 pieuls ($306,424) to 60,500 piculs ($200,997). Im- ports from the United Kingdom decreased from 12,080 pieuls ($64,280) to 7,466 piculs ($33.508), and U.S.A. from 17,615 piculs ($102,019) to 11,624 pieuls ($48,026), whilst imports from Holland increased from 1,050 piculs ($8,100) to 14,331 piculs ($58,120).
Imports of Tin Plates decreased from 219,780 pieuls ($3.3 millions) to 195,329 piculs ($2.5 millions), imports from the United Kingdom declining from 91,469 pieuls ($14 millions) to 74,428 pieuls ($962,680), Holland from 19,899) piculs ($277.943) to 5,726 piculs ($71,532), and U.S.A. from 93,603 piculs ($1.4 millions) to 90,817 piculs ($1.2 millions).
Imports of Tin Slabs and Ingots (China) increased from 114,961 piculs ($16.6 millions) to 185,343 piculs ($16.6 millions), and exports from 120.852 piruls ($19.9 millions) to 188,348 piculs ($18.1 millions). There were increased exports to the United Kingdom. Japan, Germany. Holland and U.S.A.
MINERALS AND ORES.
Imports totalled $2.2 millions us compared with $1.1 millions, and exports $2.8 millions as com- pared with $2.9 millions.
Imports of Wolframite increased from 11,737 piculs ($1.6 million) to 38,515 piculs ($2.1 millions), and exports from 82,823 pieuls (82.8 millions) to 40,382 pieuls ($2.6 millions). There were increased exports to the United Kingdom, France and U.S.A.
NUTS AND SEEDS.
Imports totalled $5.1 millions as compared with $6.1 millions, and exports $3.4 millions as compared with $4.2 millions.
Imports of Nuts totalled 320.473 piculs ($2.4 millions) ng compared with 471.607 piculs ($3.2) millions). Imports of Seeds decreased from 160,025 pienls ($2,3 millions) to 129.589 piculs ($1.9 millions).
Imports of Pepper amounted to 40,052 piculs ($854,956) as compared with 17,910 pieuls ($578,919), and exports to 33,142 piculs ($643,166) as compared with 16.540 piculs ($500,940). Exports to North China increased from 11,824 piculs ($320,298) to 25,045 pieuls ($435,710).
OILS AND FATS.
Imports totalled $34.0 millions as compared with $33 9 millions, and exports $25.7 millions as com- pared with $25.8 millions,
Imports of Lard increased from 12,430 piculs ($233,077) to 46,988 piculs ($982,377), and exports from 38,485 piculs ($022,142) to 71,222 picule ($1.6 millions). Exports to the United Kingdom increased from 21,104 picula ($406,511) to 63,157 pieuls ($1.4 millions).
Imports of Petrol decreased from 13.6 million gallons ($5.0 millions) to 9.5 million gallons ($3.7 millions), and exports from 8.3 million gallons ($4.3 millions) to 8.2 million gallons ($4.1 millions). Imports from U.S.A. increased from 2.1 million gallons ($13 millions) to 8.3 million gallons ($1.9 millions), whilst imports from the Netherlands East Indies declined from 11.5 million gallons ($3.7 millions) to 6.2 million gallons ($1.8 millions).
