REMARKS.

(8) Mr. B. H. Crofton acted as and drew duty pay and allow- ance of Assistant Colonial Secretary and Clerk of Councila from 19th February to 18th May and from 17th Septem- ber to 24th December and half initial salary of Assistant Colonial Secretary and half initial salary plus in- aremonts as Chief Clerk from 19th February to 18th May and from 21st November to 24th December. (9) Acted as Colonial Treasurer from 28th August to

24th December.

(10) Mr. N. L. Smith acted as and drew duty pay and allow- ance of Assistant Colonial Secretary and Clerk of Councils and salary and honae allowance as Passed Cadet from 28th August to 16th September.

(11) Mr. J. A. E. Bullock acted as Chief Clerk from 19th February to 18th May and from 30th July to 24th Decem- ber and drew half initial salary of Chief Clerk and half initial salary plus increments and allowance as Second Clerk from 19th February to 18th May and from 21st November to 24th December.
