The Governor appoints to the office of Watchmen such fit persons as he may consider to be sufficiently recommended by the inhabitants of any District, under the provisions of Ordinance 3 of 1888.
PUBLIC DEBT.
Inscribed Stock at 3 interest. £341,799. 158. 1d. for Praya Reclamation; Central Market; Water, Drainage and Sewerage Works, &c., to be paid off on 15th April, 1943. The amount paid into the Sinking Fund with accrued interest reached £42,298. Os. 10d. on the 31st of December, 1906.
Inscribed Stock at 34% interest (Loan to Viceroy of Wuchang) £1,143,933. 18. Ad. Amount repaid at credit of Special Account £110,000.
