There is an old silver mine in Laptao and an abandoned lead mine at Uu In Gap, A New Territory. A certain kind of clay is tunnelled for at Un In with which pottery is made. There is slate unquarried in Ping Chai Island, Mirs Bay, but none of these places have ever been investigated.
