There is an old sil- ver mine in Laptao and an abandoned lead mine at Uu In Gap, A New Territory. certain kind of clay is tunnelled for at Un In with which pot- tery is made. There is slate unquarriol in Ping Chai Island, Mirs Bay, but none of these places have ever been investigated.
