Were demanded to enable the tenants to provide for the effectual drainage of houses about to be treated, 860 feet lineal of 2 feet by 1½ feet drain, 900 feet lineal of 1 foot drain and 25 pipe holes of B.459.16.3 were constructed for Auxiliary drain in Victoria West. Report and Estimate 25 of 1853. In consequence of the drains in this district, it was found necessary to construct an auxiliary drain at a cost of £222. 4. 6.
Culverts and Sewers West of Possession Point. Report and Estimate No. 10 of 1855. This District having been partly sold for building purposes in order that the same might be properly drained and, with a view to promote cleanliness, it was proposed to construct two culverts in such situations that the natural streams might flow through them and of sufficient length to allow of their contents to be discharged into the sea beyond the Shand Road, and also drains to receive the sewerage of the Mystic. The sum of £600. 11. 0 was expended on this service in 1856.
Culverts in Victoria East. Report and Estimate No. 2 of 1855. The sum of £28. 5. 2 was expended on this service in 1856 and it is still uncompleted.
Drains in Victoria: Report and Estimate 5 of 1886. The sum of £19. 4. 7. was expended.
