(ii) Government Free Scholars are exempted.

(b) Grant-in-Aid and Subsidized Schools.

There are no hard and fast rules regarding the exemption from fees. In cases of poverty, partial or total exemption is given at the discretion of the Principals. The percentage of total exemption in 1938 ranged from 25.96% to 0.88% and of partial (half or more) exemption from 25% to 3%.
