FIRE BRIGADE FOR THE YEAR 1937.

EXPENDITURE AND REVENUE.

The expenditure of the Fire Brigade for the year 1937 was $328,892.56 (£20,555 15s 8d) including special expenditure amounting to $37,404.32 (£2,337 15s 5d) as against $293,162.54 (£18,322 13s 2d) including special expenditure amounting to $11,225.81 (£701 11s 8d) in 1936.

2. The revenue of the Brigade for the year amounted to $11,408.00 (£713 0s 0d) derived from the following sources:--

Motor Ambulance service $10,700.00 (£668 15s 0d) as against $7,730.00 (£483 2s 6d) for 1936, an increase of 38%.

Theatre and Special duties $708.00 (£44 5s 0d) as against $510.00 (£31 17s 6d) for 1936, an increase of 38%.
