228. In conformity with the usual custom certain works were carried out for the Naval, Military and Air Force Authorities.

229. A considerable number of both major and minor improvements and additions were made at Cape D'Aguilar, Victoria Peak; Observatory, Marine and Meteorological; and Kai Tak Wireless Telegraph Stations.

230. Under the Police and Harbour services improvement to and some replacement of apparatus were effected.

231. The transmitting, studio and control instruments relating to Broadcasting were improved, as was also the apparatus at the Central Radio Office.

232. At the Government Wireless Telegraph School a second full course of nine months and five refresher courses each of two months were completed. A total of seventy-four students took advantage of these courses. Candidates to the number of 127 sat at fifteen full examinations and sixty-two certificates were issued.
