179. Formation of Access Road to New Cemeteries area North and East of Hammer Hill (1st Section)-Owing to an alternative cemetery site being decided on in the vicinity of Rennies Farm the funds provided under this head were diverted to the provision of an access road on a new alignment.
A contract for the work, an access to New Kowloon Cemetery No. 7 was let to Messrs. Kwan On & Co. for a sum of $14,971.00, being signed on 9th September, 1936. Work progressed satisfactorily and the first section was completed during November.

Formation of Cemetery Area for one year's burials North and East of Hammer Hill:-Owing to an alternative cemetery site known as New Kowloon Cemetery No. 7 being decided on in the vicinity of Rennies Farm the funds provided under this head were diverted to the development of a burial area in that cemetery.
It is not now intended to develop a cemetery in the area originally decided upon.

181. Back Lane Service Pipes :-In addition to two services which were enlarged from 1" to 2", ten new or extended services were laid during the year. This involved the laying of 1,213 feet of 2" and 104 feet of 1" wrought iron piping. 179 new services and forty-two existing services were connected to these and existing subsidiary mains.

182. Distribution Mains:-The following work was carried under this head:-1,505 feet of 12″ cast iron and spun iron main were laid in Castle Peak Road between Cheung Fat Street and Pratas Street.
