Miscellaneous :- Works carried out were as follows:- 361 The Peak - hot water system was renewed, 151 The Peak - pulley racks were supplied and fixed, Peak Observatory - stand for the Thermograph was erected, New Government Offices - several lengths of counters were altered, Analyst's Office, Central Fire Station - new exhaust pipes were fitted, Colonial Secretary's Office - matshed roof was built over the offices for the duration of the hot weather, Old City Hall Annexe various alterations were carried out, Queen's College - new notice boards were fixed, Kennedy Road Revolver Range small matshed was erected, New Botanical Gardens - new water tank was built, Children's Playground, May Road - one new swing was erected, Public Latrine, Stanley - alterations were carried out, Upper Levels Police Station - notice boards were supplied and fixed, High West Rifle Range - extensive repairs and improvements were carried out to the stop butts.
A covered concrete gauge basin was formed on the outfall from the septic tank at Repulse Bay Beach, and a V-gauge fixed so that records of the flow could be obtained.
Improvements and additions to the electrical installations were made in twenty-seven buildings. Four fans, ten radiators, three telephones and four bells were installed in fourteen buildings.

Water Works - (a) Miscellaneous :- The following works were carried out :- 1,846 feet of 3″ wrought iron piping were laid in South Beach Road; 2,254 feet of 2″ wrought iron piping were laid to West Bay Tank; 1,030 feet of 2″ wrought iron piping were laid in Main Street, Aplichau; 820 feet of 2″ wrought iron piping were laid in Mount Cameron Road; 316 feet of 1½″ wrought iron piping were laid from West Bay Tank to South Beach; cast iron railings were erected on the gangway to Pokfulum Road Pumping Station coal bunker; a concrete outlet pit was formed for the rising main to West Point, and the upper end of the main re-graded and re-aligned; brass gauge plates were fixed for the V-gauges in the outlet wells of Elliot Slow Sand Filters; an automatic overflow recorder was erected at the overflow cill of Pokfulum Reservoir.
