Quarters, 14 Ventris Road, 4 and 11 Leighton Hill Quarters, Mounted Infantry Horse Lines, Causeway Bay, Queen's Gardens Flats, Sookunpo Market, Sookunpo Indian School, Ellis Kadoorie School, No. 86 Caine Road, King's College, Government Civil Hospital, No. 7 Police Station (old), Mental Hospital.
The electrical installations were maintained in good order; 1,657 fans and 368 radiators were cleaned and overhauled. Forty-six fans and motors were rewound and thirty-nine radiators were fitted with new elements. Additions and alterations to light and power points were made in twenty-three buildings. Typhoon lanterns at Lyemun, Gough Hill, Harbour Office, Waglan and Gap Rock Lighthouses were maintained in good order. Electrical installations in ninety-four buildings were tested, and 117 inventories of electrical fittings were issued and revised. Fire alarm, bell and lightning conductor systems in Government buildings were maintained in a satisfactory manner.

Improvements to Buildings:-The principal improvements carried out under this heading were as follows:-157 The Peak-improvements to banking were executed, 525 The Peak-iron gates were provided, 152 The Peak-bathroom windows altered, 276 The Peak-windows altered, Mountain Lodge fireplaces improved, Central Police Station-oil store altered, Central Fire Station-wooden racks supplied, Central Police Station-doors and windows altered, Central Fire Station-new partitions erected for Education Department, New Government Offices-Medical Store-new iron racks, Government House new iron rack, new rubber floor to one bathroom, new fire grates, mantel pieces and curtain rails to several bedrooms, Harbour Office-shelving supplied, Volunteer Headquarters new sink, Central Magistracy-new iron racks, Western Market Quarters-jalousies fixed, Wanchai Store-enclosed first floor of the heavy store with brickwork and steel windows and provided shades to office block, Bullock Stables, Leighton Hill Road-enlarged two windows, No. 2 Police Station-rubbish dump built, Aberdeen Police Station—hot water system installed, Tytam Village Latrine-doors and windows fitted with flyproof gauze, South and Middle Beach Latrines, Repulse Bay-brick screens to doors erected, Dogs' Home Kennedy Town-improvements effected, District Watchmen's Quarters, Tai Ping Shan Street-hot water system installed.
