36. The new Class 2 Examination has been accepted as the authorised test for admission to Government Clerkships; the special test hitherto held in January each year will be held for the last time in January 1937.

BOARD OF EDUCATION.

37. The Board of Education met four times during the year. Mr. Li Tsz Fong, Hon. Dr. S. W. Ts'o, C.B.E., LL.D., Rev. F. Short, Sir W. W. Hornell, Kt., C.I.E., M.A., LL.D., and Captain G. W. P. Kimm, A.E.C. whose terms of office had expired were re-appointed for a further term of two years. Mr. H. B. L. Dowbiggin, O.B.E. resigned from the Board, and Mr. B. Wylie was appointed a member on 14th April, 1936.

38. The Members during the year 1936 were:-

39. Mr. A. O. Brawn (retired) was replaced by Mr. J. Ralston, M.A. on 1st January, 1936.

40. Mr. T. R. Rowell, B.Sc. was a member of the Board from 22nd February to 27th October, during the absence on long leave of Mr. Ralston, M.A.

41. Mr. E. J. Edwards acted as Secretary during the year.
