F. By-law 2(1) (b) (iii) under the heading "Conservancy" set forth in Schedule A to the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, was amended with the object of determining the areas in Kowloon to which the by-laws apply. The amendment was made by the Council on 31st March and approved by the Legislative Council on 22nd April.
G. (1) By-law 3 under the heading "Cemeteries" set forth in Schedule A to the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, was amended with the object of requiring the keeping of a monthly register in the English language at or near each cemetery, by the person or persons in charge of each cemetery, and entering the date of burial, name, sex and age of each person therein. The amendment was made by the Council on 8th December and approved by the Legislative Council on 16th December.
(2) The by-laws under the heading "Cemeteries" and sub-heading "B. Chinese Cemeteries" set forth in Schedule A to the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, were amended by the introduction of a new by-law 21A with the object of requiring written permission from the Urban Council to be obtained before a monument or an enclosure of land occupying an area exceeding nine square feet be erected or made over, upon or around any grave or urn space. The amendment was made by the Council on 8th December and approved by the Legislative Council on 16th December.
H. By-law 39 of the by-laws appearing in the Schedule to the Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance, 1935, was amended with the object of raising the scale of fees for housing cattle, pigs, sheep and goats in a depot. The amendment was made by the Council on 26th May and approved by the Legislative Council on 22nd July.
I. (1) The by-laws under the heading "A. General and Licensing" set forth in the Schedule to the Hawkers Ordinance, 1935, were amended by the introduction of a new by-law 22 with the object of making valid during the period for which they were issued all hawkers licences, except licences to hawk tobacco, cigars and cigarettes, issued under the Miscellaneous Licences Ordinances, 1933. The amendment was made by the Council on 7th January and approved by the Legislative Council on 19th March.
