CHINESE DELIVERY SECTION.
11. During the year this section handled 7,649,315 ordinary letters, 448,955 other articles and 2,320 Postal Hong packets as against 7,647,079 ordinary letters, 435,725 other articles and 10,315 Postal Hong packets in 1934.
12. The registered articles delivered amounted to 134,134 of which 44,958 were from the United States and Canada, and 89,176 from China and other countries showing an increase of 4,613 as compared with 129,521 in 1934.
13. 5,639 insured letters were dealt with as against 5,524 in 1934. The total number of Chinese private boxes was 281, a decrease of 34 as compared with 315 in 1934.
(B) WIRELESS.
TRAFFIC.
14. The total paid traffic for the year was 406,351 messages of 4,054,883 words, an increase of 5,138 in the number of messages and a decrease of 120,819 words as compared with the figures of 1934.
15. The decrease in the number of words was due to the smaller volume of press traffic.
16. The total unpaid traffic for the year was 45,955 messages of 1,540,956 words, a decrease of 5,980 messages and an increase of 262,034 words as compared with the figures of 1934.

SERVICES.
18. Commercial radiotelegraph services are now in operation as follows:
(1) British North Borneo, direct to Sandakan, and thence to all offices, and to Sarawak, Brunei and Labuan. (2) Dutch East Indies, direct to Malabar, thence to all offices and to Dutch Borneo, Australasia and Europe. (3) French Indo-China, direct to Hanoi, Saigon and Kwong Chow Wan, with connections to all inland places, and via Saigon to France, Algeria and Tunis.
(4) Formosa, direct to Taihoku and thence to all offices, and in the event of interruptions in the normal cable services, to Japan.
