202. The levelling and turfing of certain portions of Kowloon Hospital Site:-This work was referred to in Kowloon Hospital additions, paragraph 144 of last year's Report. The work was completed satisfactorily on the 20th July.

Demolition of Rennie's mills: --The work of demolition which was commenced in February and completed in September was carried out by Messrs. Koon Tai & Co. A credit of $14,560.00 was received from them for the old materials.
204. Hung Hom Government Oil Store-Improvements:- The work consisted of supplying and fixing grilles to ground floor windows and provision of two additional windows to the office. The work was carried out under the Maintenance of Buildings Contract.

205. Ho Mun Tin Hill Sewerage Scheme:-At the request of certain lot-holders on Ho Mun Tin Hill, a sewerage scheme, which would permit of the introduction of water closets to the property, was prepared. These lot-holders agreed to defray the cost and the work is now in progress. A length of 1,210 feet of 9" sewer was completed during the year.
206. Construction of an Extension to Protective Rubble Mound at Kun Tong:-In connection with further improvements to the harbour by dredging it was necessary to enlarge the dumping ground to accommodate the additional spoil.
A contract was let to Messrs. Woo Hing who commenced work on the extension to the dumping ground on 6th September, this contract also includes for the construction of a refuse dump which is referred to in paragraph 174.
The work under this contract was nearing completion at the end of the year. The total quantity of rubble deposited to form the extension to protective mound was about 58,000 cube yards. The cost of the work was defrayed by Admiralty.
