A block of Three Flats for European Medical Officers-A site was chosen for this building to the South of the Hospital and sketch plans were prepared for a building of three-stories comprising three self-contained flats with five rooms, kitchen, pantry and two bathrooms. The usual servants quarters and garages for three cars were included. A contract for the approach road, site formation and foundations was let to Messrs. Hop Shing & Co. on 11th December. The work was proceeding satisfactorily at the end of the year.

The laying of tubes and plugs for wiring in Main Block, Chinese Medical Officers and Servants Quarters was in progress.

This contract was completed satisfactorily and a further contract for the erection of the superstructure was let to Messrs. Yeung Fat & Co. in September. Owing to the non-arrival of steelwork from England, it was not possible to do more than complete the foundations by the end of the year.
