(b) requiring him to carry from his premises all the refuse and other objectionable matter and deposit it in the refuse lorries, or to empty such dust-bins or dust-cans into dust-bins or dust-boats provided by the Board,
(c) requiring him to give access to any officer authorised by the Board for the purpose of scavenging and removing refuse or seeing the provisions of these by-laws duly complied with,
(d) prohibiting persons from placing any dust-can or dust-bin or removing the contents thereof except as specified, and throwing or depositing any refuse in any public place.
The amendment was made by the Board on 2nd July and approved by the Legislative Council on 22nd August.
The Market by-laws were amended by the introduction of a new by-law No. 28 with the object of restricting the sale of the flesh of any animal slaughtered in the Government slaughter-house at Sai Wan Ho to the markets at Quarry Bay, Sai Wan Ho and Shaukiwan; and the sale of the flesh of any animal slaughtered in the Government slaughter-house at Aberdeen to the market at Aberdeen. The amendment was made by the Board on 5th November to take effect on 1st January, 1936. It was withdrawn in the Legislative Council on 28th November, in view of the coming into force of the new Public Health Legislation on 1st January.
(iii) Markets.—The following four new markets were opened on 1st January:—
Bowrington Market.
Arsenal Street Market.
Fa Yuen Market.
Tong Mi Market.
(iv) Public Latrines and Conveniences.—No public latrines and conveniences were erected or demolished during the year.
(v) Bath-houses.—No new bath-house was opened during the year.
(vi) Cemeteries.—(a) The following cemetery was authorised by the Governor in Council during the year:—
