CHINESE DELIVERY SECTION.
11. During the year this section handled 7,647,079 ordinary letters, 435,725 other articles and 10,315 postal Hong packets as against 7,472,549 ordinary letters, 412,033 other articles and 10,861 postal Hong packets in 1933.
12. The registered articles delivered amounted to 129,521 of which 45,008 were from the United States and Canada, and 84,513 from China and other countries showing a decrease of 3,652 as compared with 133,173 in 1933.
13. 5,524 insured letters were dealt with as against 5,671 in 1933. The total number of Chinese private boxes was 315, a decrease of 42 as compared with 357 in 1933.
14. The licences of 23 Chinese Postal Hongs were renewed as against 27 in 1933. All these licences were, however, cancelled at the end of the year and consequently no more clubbed packages will hereafter be accepted for transmission or delivery.
(B) WIRELESS TRAFFIC.
15. The total paid traffic for the year was 401,213 messages of 4,175,702 words, a decrease of 2,603 in the number of messages and an increase of 854,466 words as compared with the figures of 1933.
16. The decrease in the number of messages was due to the stoppage in July of goldbar traffic which averaged 200 telegrams per day, and the increase in the number of words was due to additional press traffic.
17. The total unpaid traffic for the year was 51,935 messages of 1,278,922 words representing increases of 7,215 messages and 153,779 words as compared with the figures for last year.
18. The net increase amounts to 4,612 messages and 1,008,245 words or 1.01% and 18.48% respectively.

SERVICES.
20. Commercial radiotelegraph services are now in operation as follows:
(1) British North Borneo, direct to Sandakan and thence to all offices, and to Sarawak, Brunei and Labuan.
(2) Dutch East Indies, direct to Malabar, thence to all offices and to Dutch Borneo, Australasia and Europe.
