111. New road between Causeway Bay and Ming Yuen Garden. This work, which was referred to in paragraph 106 of last year's Report, progressed satisfactorily.

112. Surfacing 40-foot Roads on Praya East.-Under this head, two roads, Jaffe Road and Thomson Road, were kerbed and channelled, and 2½" granolithic paving was laid to footways and 4" tarmacadam to carriageway.

New Road to Bathing Beaches S.E. of Repulse Bay.- A contract, comprising the construction of a road 30' wide from the Island Road to the southern boundary of R.B.L. 200 and thence 20′ wide to Ma Kong Bay, together with all drainage, was let to Messrs. Sang Lee & Co. on 21.7.33 for a sum of $104,877.50. Progress was good towards the end of the year.

114. Robinson Road-Widening between Peak Road and Glenealy (including bridge).-This work, for which a contract was let in April to Messrs. Foo Loong & Co. for a sum of $39,232.50, was commenced towards the end of that month. Progress during the year was satisfactory.

Wong Nei Cheong Old Road: Improvements.-A contract, comprising the construction of a length of about 2,000 feet of 25′ wide road to replace the lower portion of the existing Blue Pool Road (recently known as Wong Nei Cheong Old Road), together with necessary drainage, was let to the General Construction Co. on 10.7.33 for a sum of $28,950.00. Progress during the year was satisfactory.

116. 10-foot path from Shek O Gap to Cape D'Aguilar Wireless Station.-A contract for the construction of the second section of this path, together with all culverts and cross drainage, was let to Messrs. Man Gang on 27.4.33 for a sum of $20,808.00. Progress was good during the year.
