11. A staff of one Chief Draughtsman and fifteen Chinese Draughtsmen were employed during the year, and 10,883 plans as detailed below were prepared in connection with 56 land sales, 980 leases and miscellaneous permits, exchanges, etc.

SURVEYS.
12. In accordance with Colonial Office despatch No. 79 of 16th March, 1932, this report is now for the year ending 31st December, 1932. The period under review is therefore from 1st April, 1932 to 31st December, 1932.
TRIGONOMETRICAL SURVEYS.
13. As Danger Flag Hill has been chosen for a site for a new service reservoir it was necessary to move the beacon erected thereon. A site was selected on a mound in the vicinity and the position fixed by means of the quadrilateral, Victoria Peak, Mount Nicholson, New Trig., Stonecutters, the largest angular error being 2.52″ and the total angular error of the quadrilateral being 4.88″. This was adjusted and the value obtained accepted and recorded. No other trigonometrical work was carried out during the year.
14. Beacons were inspected on the following stations and repairs were executed where necessary:- Brewin Path, Bowen Road Filter Beds (Station to be rebuilt), Causeway Bay, Collinson Base, North, Mount Collinson, Brick Hill, Kai Lung Wan, Mount Kellett, Mount Nicholson, Mount Parker, North Point, Overbays, Ma Kong Island, Victoria Peak, Pottinger Peak, Quarry Bay, Shaukiwan, Shek O Peak, Shek O Gap, Stanley Mound, Tsat Tse Mui, Wong Ma Kok, Stanley, Stanley Gap Reservoir, Mount Butler, Boa Vista, Red Hill, Jardine's Look Out, Violet Hill, Hill 800, Stonecutters, Channel Rocks, Cha Kwo Ling, Quarry Hill, Partridge Hill, Kowloon City, Diamond Hill, Tate's Cairn, Kowloon Peak, Beacon Hill, Ha Tsun, Lin Fa-ti, Patsin End, Turret Rock, Un Tau Shan, Castle Peak, Ma On Kong, Castle Peak "A", Ping Shan, Wang Toi Shan,
