4. The total amount of revenue received for the 1932:

5. Land Sales, etc.-Land Sales, extensions, Grants, &c.-- The total amount of premia paid into the Treasury during the year was $1,416,780.66 of which $31,651.00 was derived from fees for survey and boundary stones. The estimate for the year was $1,750,000.00. Table A gives a comparative statement and Table B gives a graph of the revenue derived from land sales, &c. for the years 1923-1932.
6. Sale without auction.-These are included in Table A at the end of this Report. The principal one involved the sale of an area of six acres to Mr. Wong Man-hing as a New Kowloon Dairy Farm Lot.
7. Exchanges.-These are also included in Table A. The principal one involved the grant of three areas at Repulse Bay totalling 523,000 square feet to the Hong Kong Realty and Trust Co., Ltd. in exchange for Rural Building Lot No. 200.
8. Permits to occupy land for short periods. These were of a very miscellaneous character and too numerous to admit of individual mention. (a) The total amount of fees collected during the year was $262,295.84, being $107,689.26 for Hong Kong, $99,903.10 for Kowloon and $54,703.48 for New Kowloon. New Permits issued during the year totalled 646 and 295 were cancelled for various reasons; the total number of permits in force being 4,318. (b) The total amount of fees collected during the year in the New Territories was $2,784.16, being $534.50 for permits in the Southern District and $1,022.61 for yearly, $1,195.25 for five yearly, $31.80 for ten yearly permits in the Northern District.
9. Piers. (a) Permanent.-In Hong Kong the position of pier No. 43 with an additional area was changed, fifteen temporary piers in Kowloon and two temporary piers in New Kowloon were converted to permanent piers.
(b) Temporary.--Licences to erect fifty-eight piers were issued during the year. one in Hong Kong, three in Kowloon and fifty-four in New Kowloon and New Territories. The total fees amounted to $1,318.03.
10. Re-entries.-Five lots in Hong Kong, nine lots in Kowloon (six of which were cancelled) eight lots in New Kowloon, two of which were cancelled) thirty lots in the Southern
