Surveys.
Minor Traverses were run in connection with the surveys of the following villages:-
Kam Tin San Chuen, Kam Tsin Wai, Tsat Sing Kong, Kai Ti Chuen, Total length 11,600 feet.
316. Triangulation.-
The following triangulation stations were inspected, Overbays, Water Tank (Stanley Gap), Stanley Mound, Wong Ma Kok, Red Hill, Brewin Path, Bowen Road, Mt. Nicholson, Hill 800, Violet Hill, Jardines Look Out, Mt. Butler, Mt. Parker, Tai Koo, Quarry Bay, Ah Kung Ngam, Boa Vista, Mt. Collinson, Shek O, Shek O Gap, Collinson Base N, Pottinger Peak, Brick Hill, Round Island, Kai Lung Wan, Mt. Kellett, Mt. Gough, Victoria Peak.
317. Revenue Surveys and General.-
Surveys were made for plans to be attached to Crown Leases of 855 lots.
In Hong Kong 125 frontage lines to streets were checked and 319 in Kowloon and New Kowloon. Boundaries of 101 lots in Hong Kong and 272 in Kowloon and New Kowloon were defined. In addition to the latter thirty-three areas held on permit were defined and nine Quarry areas. Boundaries of numerous lots and street alignments were set out for the Drainage, General Works and Roads Offices.
Thirty slipways were measured up and plotted at Ah Kung Ngam, Shaukiwan, Causeway Bay, Aberdeen and Aplichau. A plan to a scale of 1/2400 was prepared showing Kowloon Cemetery No. 2 divided into a network of eighty-one squares each 200 feet by 200 feet. These squares were set out on the ground. A further plan to the same scale was prepared showing the burials which had taken place in this cemetery to June 30th, 1931.
318. The following contour surveys were made and plotted to a scale of 1/600 with ten feet vertical interval.
