194. Miscellaneous. The following is a list of works undertaken under this head:-
(a.) Gun Platform at Ta Ku Ling Police Station.
(b.) Parking Place for motor vehicles, Tsing Lung Tau.
(c.) Making up and surfacing of ramp at Tai Po Market.
(d.) Covering over channel and filling in the "market reserve" area at Tai Po Market.
(e.) Demolition of storage tank of old water system at Tai Po.
Item (a) was for the erection of a Lewis Gun Platform and the removal of a small hill near the Ta Ku Ling Police Station. An order was given for this work to Mr. Tang Tim as an extension to his Contract for "Path from Ta Ku Ling to Lin Ma Hang".
This and the other works mentioned above were completed by the end of the year.

195. Waterworks.-The following works were carried out under this heading during the year:—
(a.) A further extension of the 3" main to Kam Shan Village, Tai Po Water Works, referred to in last year's Report was completed.
(b.) An intake, channel and pipe line were constructed in the Needle Hill Valley to divert the stream into the Shing Mun Temporary Conduit. An additional dry weather flow of approx. 100,000 gallons daily has been obtained by these works.

196. New Bridge at Tai Po and diversion to replace the bridge washed away in 1925.-This work was referred to in paragraph 168 (e) of the Report for 1926 and in 171 of last year's Report.
