During the 17.3.27-20.5.27 Vaccination Campaign, 4,762 cases were vaccinated by the Railway Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
The usual First Aid Lectures begun by Dr. I. Newton were completed by Dr. J. E. Dovey.
30 out of 32 competitors passed the Annual Re-examination. This is considered a very high standard.
77. Mr. H, P. Winslow, Manager of the Railway since 1911, left the service on 5th March, retiring on pension as from 1st August. He was awarded the O.B.E. in June in recognition of his services to Government.
78. Mr. G. A. Walker, Traffic Manager, was appointed to act as Manager from 5th March to 6th July.
79. Mr. Robert Baker, Engineer of Way and Works, on his return from leave, was appointed Acting Manager in addition to bis other duties, from 7th July till 31st August, and Manager and Chief Engineer as from the 1st September, when the title of Engineer of Way and Works was abolished.
80. Mr. I. B. Trevor, Traffic Assistant, was appointed Act- ing Traffic Manager from 5th March to 6th July. He was also appointed Divisional Superintendent of the Railway Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade in September.
