113. Reinstatement of Government Retaining Walls.-The general survey of the retaining walls in the Colony, referred to in paragraph 120 of last year's Report, was continued, and the number examined and recorded by the end of the year had reached a total of nearly two thousand. The entire area within the Island of Hong Kong was covered, and thereafter the survey on the mainland was undertaken.
The undermentioned four retaining walls were considered unsafe, and work on them was undertaken during the year: —
(a.) D'Aguilar Street Retaining Wall.
(b.) Stubbs Road
(c.) Wanchai Road
(d.) Pokfulam Road
