5. Part of the land in Kowloon Station which was formerly leased to the Mercury Garage was refenced owing to the winding-up of the Company.
6. A new butt end loading ramp for vehicles was constructed at the siding near the Railway Pier, Kowloon Station.
7. A new train departure time indicating board was made and erected.
8. The office formerly used by Railway Guards was overhauled and colour-washed and is now used as an office by the Inspector of Permanent Way.
9. Owing to the closing down of the Government Dispensary in Kowloon the office formerly used by the Station Porters was renovated and made suitable for the accommodation of the Railway Medical Officer.
10. A number of granite templates were placed under some of the steel joists supporting the concourse roof at Kowloon Station owing to the crushing of the brick supports.
11. All windows and shutters of the Store in the old China Light & Power Premises were refitted and painted. The roof over the Store Office which was found to have sagged 3 inches was raised, new rafters inserted and the tiles cement plastered.
12. The roof of the Chief Mechanical Engineer's latrine was destroyed by white ants. This was dismantled and renewed.
13. The latrine for the native staff of the Workshops at Hung Hom was found to be inadequate and was in consequence extended to double its former size.
14. The Sea Wall in front of Kowloon Station was grouted with cement mortar.
15. The stone pitching of the sea wall at Blackheads Point was in a bad state of repair. This was made good.
16. A new cement concrete floor with matted surface was laid around the Water Crane, Loco. Yard, replacing the old lime concrete floor.
17. The rail level of the engine pit inside Lo Wu Engine Shed was raised owing to the settlement of the foundation. The concrete pit was partially excavated and re-cast and the rails re-aligned. An additional siding was put in.
