207. Upkeep of Quarry Plants.-The necessary plant was maintained in a good state of repair.

208. Upkeep of Motor Lorries and Cars. The necessary repairs and minor adjustments were carried out as occasion arose.
Five lorries have been completely overhauled and repainted.
All lorries and cars were subject to recurrent inspection and maintained in good running condition.

209. Fire Alarms, Hong Kong.-This was referred to in paragraph 238 of last year's Report.
The scheme provides for the installation of 13 Fire alarm pillars at various points in the City.
