Erection of Two Automatic Self-recording Tide Gauges.- Sites were chosen and surveyed at the Eastern and Western entrances to the Harbour for the installation of two self-recording Tide Gauges supplied through the Crown Agents. Designs for the Gauge houses were prepared, and a contract was entered into for their erection, and the installation of the machines, on 24th November, 1925, the contract time for completion being three months.
Work was commenced forthwith, but owing to minor difficulties connected with blasting below low water, it is doubtful whether the work will be completed to time.

Miscellaneous Works.-Under this sub-head the following works were carried out:
(a). Repair and renovation of the Waterworks Bungalow at Shaukiwan to convert same for the occupation of 1st Class Overseer (Diver) Nielsen.
(b). Construction of an office building for the use of Engineers in connection with Quay Wall at North Point,
(c). Payment of wages to foremen and Divers attendant employed on works at North Point Quay Wall.
