8. Revenue Surveys.-Although the applications for land were again far less than in recent years owing to various causes, development was carried on of the numerous lots sold in 1923 and 1924 and the survey staff was constantly engaged in setting out building areas. More than 83 of such areas were defined in Hong Kong and 128 in Kowloon and New Kowloon. In addition centre lines were laid down for several streets and boundary marks for many proposed blocks fixed for the Drainage Department. 205 frontage lines to streets were checked. Surveys were made of 284 lots of various areas, in detail, for the purpose of plans to be attached to Crown Leases. Stones for defining boundaries were fixed to 297 lots. Many surveys of a miscellaneous nature were made, such as those required for plans to be attached to deeds of surrender, sale plans and various plans for departmental use.

9. Ordnance Surveys.-Except for revision work the survey for the Central portion of the City has been completed and work has been carried on in the Eastern District. The actual area surveyed in the City being 391 acres of which 304 acres have been plotted. The City Boundary was defined between Causeway.
