P.W.E. New Territories.

(g.) Waterloo Road Extension (100 feet wide) Section between Kowloon Boundary to foot of hills S. E. of Tunnel (estimate for 50 foot width).—This work was referred to in paragraphs 196 (3) of the Report for 1923 and 205 (g) of that for last year.

Good progress was maintained and by the end of the year the road was well advanced.

The 1st section of the road was handed over to the Roads Maintenance Office in March, which was strengthened, surfaced with ordinary macadam and tar painted. Work on the 2nd section proceeded satisfactorily and when the railway has been re-aligned the road should be completed within 3 months.
