Trough Closet, Taipo Market. This work was referred to in paragraphs 195 of the report for 1923 and 199 of that for last

year.

A Contract was let to Mr. Tang Tim of Un Long on 11th May, 1925. Progress during the year was slow, the foundation and walls being completed and portion of reinforced concrete roof laid before the end of the year.

(a.) Metalling and tar painting hilly portions of Laichikok Castle Peak, and Taipo Roads.This work was reterred to m paragraph 205 (a) or last year's Report.

Sections of the Coastal Road from Laichikok, and Taipo Road from the 5th to 9th miles, were channelled, surfaced with 4" macadam, and tar painted.
