149. Bowen Road Filter Beds Conversion.-A Contract amounting to £8,958.6.0. was let to the Paterson Engineering Company in England for the supply and erection of chemical and mechanical apparatus capable of dealing with 3 million gallons of water per day by the fast gravity system.
Work was not proceeded with by the end of the year.

150. Jardine's Lookout, Service Reservoir.-A Contract was prepared for the construction of two 350,000 gallons service reservoirs, one at Jardine's Lookout and the other at Middle Gap, in connection with the Eastern Pumping Scheme which has been postponed until further development takes place.

151. Eastern Pumping Station.-It was not considered necessary to proceed with this scheme, and the only expenditure incurred in this connection was for clearing for a survey on which a certain amount of work was done.
