100. Fire Brigade Station.-This work was referred to in paragraph 99 of last year's Report.
Consistent progress has been made, and by the end of the year the concrete floors, roofs and casing to stanchions have been completed. The brickwork was well advanced and external and internal plasterwork in hand.
Door and window frames have been built in as the work proceeded, and the majority of the doors and window sashes, which have been made in Shanghai, were on site.
The quality of the workmanship is consistent with the usual high standard obtained in Government Contracts, and at the present rate of progress the building will be completed during 1926.

101. Victoria Hospital, Alterations and Extensions to Existing Buildings.-This work was referred to in paragraph 101 of last year's Report.
During the year, except for the period of the unsettled labour conditions, this work progressed satisfactorily. The old roof, which was infested with white ants, was demolished and replaced by a new one.
The old Isolation Block at the Eastern end was demolished to the ground floor window head level and rebuilt in accordance with the revised scheme.
The lime-plaster to the exterior of the old portion of the Main Building was removed and new elevations formed in Shanghai Plaster of a design in harmony with the Maternity Block built in 1928.
By the end of the year practically all joinery was made and stacked on the building ready for wedging up. Internal plastering and wall and floor tiling were well in hand. Hot water supply installation and electrical wiring have almost been completed.
