Diptheria:-10 cases were treated. In one patient, an in- fant three weeks old, the disease attacked the conjunctive only. Fortunately the mother brought the child to Hospital within the first twenty-four hours. The condition cleared up rapidly after a large dose of anti-toxin, without any damage to the eyes. The source of infection was not traced. The mother was apparently not a carrier.

Dysentery-15 cases were treated; 14 were Amebic and 1

Bacillary.

Again this year the Maternity Block has been used as a General Hospital, the work on the main building having been unavoidably delayed. Many of the up-to-date instruments and appliances have, however, already been received and are in use.

The Kennedy Town Small-pox Hospital:-The hospital re- cords show a fall in the number of Small-pox cases admitted iu comparison with the year 1924. Three cases of Small-pox re- mained over from 1924 in hospital. Cases admitted during 1925:-

Of the Small-pox cases only one was unvaccinated, two cases were local and the remainder imported.

Both cases of Cholera were imported and came from an in- fected port.
