L. S. A. 117 Murphy was commended by the Capt. Supt. of Police for his bravery on 25.7.25 in entering a man-hole full of sewer gas, and assisting in the rescue therefrom of two men, one of whom recovered and one who succumbed.

L. S. D. 119 Meng Chang Sheng was commended by the Capt. Supt. of Police for alertness on duty in securing the arrest of a man in unlawful possession of arms at Tai Po on 19.8.25. At the September Criminal Sessions 1925 the defendant was convicted and sentenced to 3 years Hard Labour. Case No. 223.

P. C. D. 101 Kiang Ching Shan was commended by the Capt. Supt. of Police and granted a reward of $75 for pluck and alertness on duty at 12 m.n. on 16.8.25 in securing the arrest, single-handed, of one man in unlawful possession of a loaded revolver. On 14.9.25 at the Kowloon Magistracy before two Magistrates the prisoner was sentenced to 4 years Hard Labour. Case No. 4569.

Supt. of Police for zeal and alertness when off duty in securing the arrest of an armed robber who with 2 others (subsequently arrested) had committed an armed robbery at Sai Tau Village, Kowloon, on 19.8.25. The 3 prisoners were sentenced at the September Criminal Sessions to 5 years Hard Labour.
