Land Investment Co., lessees of M. Ls. 430 & 131, North Point, for the construction of a quay-wall aggregating a length of 1,693 feet to be built in blockwork and to provide a depth of water alongside of 30 feet below Hongkong Ordnance Datum, together with the construction of return walls at the Eastern and Western extremities. The contract for the work was let in June to the Netherlands Harbour Works Co. at a lump sum price of $1,950,000.00.
At the end of year, about 160,000 cubic yards of material was dredged within the lines on which it is proposed to construct the quay-wall, and about 1,100 cubic yards of rubble blockwork therefor was manufactured. Certificates passed for payment amounted to $128,606.70.
