(g.) Road from Causeway Bay to North Point. This work was referred to in paragraph 120 (g.) of last year's Report.
The progress reported for last year was not maintained, and, as the Contractors shewed a waning disposition in the work, in spite of concessions made, it was ultimately necessary to take the work out of their hands and close the Contract.

(h.) Shaukiwan Road,-Improvements in Shaukiwan Village.- This was referred to in paragraph 120 (h.) of last year's Report. The work was not commenced, owing to the resumptions of certain properties not being completed.
The Hongkong Tramway Co. relaid a portion of its track with double lines near Sai Wan Ho Market, and advantage was availed of to resurface the carriageway with tar macadam.
1924 Estimates, $15,000.00 1924 Expenditure, $4,975.16(i.) Victoria Road Improvements.-The widening of this road to provide a minimum width of 25 feet, and open out dangerous bends, referred to in paragraph 120 (i.) of last year's Report, was continued during the year.

Owing to the necessary resumptions not being completed, it was impossible to proceed with this work during the year. There was consequently no expenditure under this heading.
