174. Training Nullahs:-
(a.) Mongkoktsui Nullah East, extension through Railway Bridge.--This item was referred to in paragraph 160 (a.) of last year's Report.
Good progress was made, though considerable difficulty was experienced in passing under the Railway Bridge, owing to the soft nature of the ground, but it was satisfactorily negotiated by piling where possible, and floating a reinforced concrete platform carrying reinforced concrete walls and piers for the remainder of the work at this point.
1,050 lin. feet of rubble faced nullah having a width ranging from 16 to 39 feet were constructed during the year.
