Extending 20-foot road from Magazine Gap to Victoria Gap, Stubbs Road.—A description of this work was given in the 1921 Report, paragraph 101 (k), and referred to in paragraph 106 (c) of last year's Report. The progress during the year was not very satisfactory; alterations to alignment and levels, typhoon and rainstorm damage, and dilatoriness on the part of the Contractor, retarded the progress. At the close of the year, however, the road was so far advanced, that a small length of retaining wall only and some filling in near "Treverbyn" remained to be done.

Road from Wongneichong Gap to Repulse Bay Road :— This work was referred to in paragraph 101 (h) of the 1921 Report and in paragraph 106 (d) of last year's Report as "Road from Bowen Road to Repulse Bay". The Contract for about half a mile at the Repulse Bay Road end, which was let in September, 1922, was completed in July at a cost of $51,298.34.

In August, a Contract was let to Mr. Ng Wah to complete the remaining 7,100 feet from Wongneichong Gap to link up the portion at Repulse Bay Road end. At the close of the year, this was well advanced.
