The University Clinics :- Dr. R. M. Gibson was in charge of the surgical clinic until the return of Professor K. H. Digby in November. 635 cases were treated as in-patients in the clinic and 326 operations were performed under general anaesthesia. These numbers are included in the figures of the Civil Hospital. The medical clinic was conducted by Dr. G. E. Aubrey until the arrival of Professor Anderson on August 22nd and from this time till the end of the year 150 cases were treated as in-patients in the clinic. Out-patient cliniques were also held on two afternoons per week and the number of patients attending rapidly rose.
