The number of copies of Quarterly and Annual Trade Returns distributed was 206, and the number sold was 36.

The amount received for supplying special Statistical information was $730,50.

TRADE STATISTICS.

Table XIII shows the number of Declarations, Permits, etc., dealt with during the year, under the Importation and Exporta- tion Ordinance, 1915, and the Registration of Imports and Exports Ordinance, 1921.

The total trade (excluding Treasure) for 1923 amounted to £123,326,829 as compared with £122,191,827 for 1922. Of this amount Imports were valued at £61,954,498 (as against £61,213,363 for 1922) and Exports at £61,372,331 (as against £60,978,464 for 1922).

Treasure imported during 1923 amounted to £2,798,360 (including £1,538,208 of Gold and £1,103,363 of Silver). Treasure exported during 1923 amounted to £9,272,389 (includ- ing £4,181,780 of Gold and £4,972,699 of Silver).
