TRADE STATISTICS.
Table XIII shows the number of Declarations, Permits, etc., dealt with during the year, under the Importation and Exportation Ordinance, 1915, and the Registration of Imports and Exports Ordinance, 1921.
The total trade (excluding Treasure) for 1923 amounted to £123,326,829 as compared with £122,191,827 for 1922. Of this amount Imports were valued at £61,954,498 (as against £61,213,363 for 1922) and Exports at £61,372,331 (as against £60,978,464 for 1922).
Treasure imported during 1923 amounted to £2,798,360 (including £1,538,208 of Gold and £1,103,363 of Silver). Treasure exported during 1923 amounted to £9,272,389 (including £4,181,780 of Gold and £4,972,699 of Silver).
