GRASS SUPPLY FOR GOVERNMENT BULLOCKS.

The area under cultivation remains the same as last year. The total grass cut at Kennedy Town was 254 tons 16 cwts. (240 tons 24 cwts. in 1920). A considerable amount of this was supplied to the Medical Department to feed the ponies used for the production of antimeningococcic serum and no charge was made for this.

During the year an area of about 4.8 acres in the Fo Pang Valley, Kowloon, has been acquired for grass growing. The work of clearing, draining and planting is well advanced and it is hoped to reap a small crop during 1922.

EXPORT OF LARD TO THE PHILIPPINES AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The factories at Ma Tau Kok and Kennedy Town approved for the export of lard and dried meats to American ports, exported the following quantities under certificate:--
